Old School Saturday

This OLD SCHOOL SATURDAY joint is inspired by my interest in SON OF A GUN, the MTV show produced by Nick Cannon. The show follows the rising career of new artist  Cory Gunz who is the son of one hit wonder Peter Gunz! The one song that he had was with his rhyming partner Lord Tariq. The song was called DEJA VU (Uptown Baby), they also were featured on a remix of Mariah Carey's #1 hit MY ALL. So in that order check out both videos after the jump!!!!

MARIAH WELCOMES TWINS!!!!

Many congratulations are in order for the couple as they celebrate their fourth anniversary by welcoming a baby girl and baby boy into the world. 

At the age of 41, Mariah gave birth to a set of twins (one girl and one boy) at 12:07 PM EST on April 30th in LosAngeles as confirmed by her representative, Cindi Berger, to The Associated Press. The baby girl was born first, weighing 5 lbs 3 oz., and was 18 inches long; her brother was next, at 5 lbs 6 oz., and was 19 inches. Mother, father and the babies are all doing fine, as they all listened to Mariah's hit "We Belong Together" after the children were born.

Berger also tells AP that Nick drove Mariah, who was calm, to the hospital after experiencing what she thought were false labor pains. Meanwhile, 30-year-old Nick was so nervous that he ended up in the wrong department at the hospital and needed to be guided to the maternity ward by a nurse.

The couple are expected to renew their wedding vows on Sunday after getting married in 2007. The names for the children have not yet been released, but Nick did tell People back in January that the names will be unique, but not over-the-top. "They won't be crazy names like Carburetor or something," he promised. "But they're definitely unique."

Again, congratulations to Mariah & Nick again on the birth & the anniversary! Can't wait to see the twins.

MARIAH & NICK ARE HAVING A BOY AND GIRL!

Seems like everything is going just right! Mariah Carey who is also the best singer in the world, and her husband Nick Cannon have just confirmed to that the twins they are expecting are indeed a boy and girl!




Mariah couldn't be happier. "Even before we announced it was twins, I was trying to keep everything genderneutral because I didn't want to impose an identity on them too soon," Mariah tells Life & Style with a laugh. "There were fan contests on Twitter about what gender they are and rumors about them being two boys or two girls -- but nobody guessed this!"


Nick first revealed in December that the couple were having twins. "In order for my wife and I to have our life, we need to be up front and I need to be able to share things with you and be real," he said on his radio show. "I didn't even tell my wife I was gonna do this. I'm probably gonna get yelled at for not getting permission. We're having twins!" They're set to welcome their bundles of joy in April. "It's been a long journey--but a happy one," says mom-to-be Mariah.

Personally I am so happy to see Mariah this way! She is happy and it comes across in the music! I wish Mariah and Nick Cannon continued success and blessings! Can't wait for Mariah to get back to the music scene, but until then I know I can catch her on HSN!!!


Seems like Mariah and Nick have been candidly sharing the journey with the fans! With that being said can't wait for the names!
