The Golden Goose: ADELE



Flying on the success of her UK released sophomore album, ’21,’ which will drop stateside on February 22nd, British Soul/R&B songstress Adele has announced a summer North America tour. The trek will kick off in Washington, DC on May 12 and run through June 20 in Nashville, TN.

’21,’ the latest release from Adele, soared to the #1 position on the charts in several countries including the U.K., Ireland, Germany, Holland, New Zealand, Switzerland, Austria and Belgium. The set moved 208,000 copies in its first week in the U.K. alone and is already certified Platinum.

Adele’s last big show in the U.S. was at Los Angeles’ historic Hollywood Bowl in June of 2009 in front of 19,000 fans. In preparation for her U.S. run, Adele will make various TV appearances, including the Today show (February 18), Late Show with David Letterman (February 21), The Ellen DeGeneres Show (February 24), ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! (February 24), The Early Show (February 25) and E!’s Chelsea Lately (February 28).
